Howard Gold’s No-Nonsense Investing: Trump has kept his promises — to Wall Street

JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon (left) is getting rich as the Trump administration works to take the shackles off Wall Street banks.

Donald J. Trump made many promises during his successful campaign for the presidency, but according to a running tally from PolitiFact, he has kept less than 10%.

He has withdrawn from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and the Paris climate accord, and he has appointed a conservative jurist, Neil Gorsuch, to the U.S. Supreme Court. The court has upheld his travel ban on citizens of six Muslim-majority nations.

But he has not labeled China a currency manipulator; ripped up or renegotiated the Iran nuclear deal, initiated a massive infrastructure-construction plan, or built a Great Wall across the Mexican border that Mexico will pay for.
