‘Game of Thrones’ season 7, episode 5: The 4 biggest takeaways from ‘Eastwatch’

Following last week’s fire-breathing massacre of the Lannister army, it made perfect sense that HBO’s TWX, -0.04% “Game of Thrones” took the contrasting approach at the conclusion of tonight’s episode, “Eastwatch”: So much so that it left a serious chill up viewers’ spines.

In an attempt to convince Cersei Lannister once and for all that there is a far greater enemy facing the still-warring Westeros monarchs – thy name is White Walker – Jon Snow is now leading a small band of men into the frozen wasteland beyond the Wall. Their mission is to capture a White Walker and bring it to King’s Landing as unequivocal proof that these killers are more problematic foes than dragons and narcissistic queens.
