The Wall Street Journal: Tillerson hopeful North Korean ‘restraint’ could lead to negotiations

WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Rex Tillerson expressed hope Tuesday that North Korea had abstained from missile launches and other provocative acts in recent weeks to signal a readiness for dialogue sometime in the near future.

Tillerson has said the Trump administration is willing to enter negotiations with Pyongyang, but only if Kim Jong Un’s regime shows its good faith by ending provocative threats and suspending missile and nuclear weapons tests.
