Investors interested in the Federal Reserve’s latest thinking should not extend their Labor Day holiday.

Early on Tuesday morning, only hours after the picnic baskets and frisbees are stored away until Memorial Day, investors will get fresh insight into what the Federal Reserve’s inner circle thinks about the economic outlook and the need for more interest-rate hikes.

The insight will come from Fed governor Lael Brainard, a trusted ally of Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen, who will speak about the economy to the Economic Club of New York at 8 a.m. Eastern.

Her speech may ease some of Wall Street’s disappointment over Yellen’s Jackson Hole speech.
