Lady Gaga canceled her Brazil show due to severe pain, which is the focus of her Netflix documentary

Lady Gaga has canceled Friday’s scheduled performance in Brazil, citing “severe physical pain” that forced her to withdraw.

On her twitter account, the artist wrote “I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I’m in severe pain. I’m in good hands w/ the very best doctors”

Her chronic pain and fibromyalgia is explored in detail in the new Netflix NFLX, -0.15% documentary “Gaga: Five Foot Two,” directed by Chris Moukarbel. While she has revealed many sides of herself, from the fake-blood-covered performer at the MTV Video Music Awards to the Golden Globe–winning actress in “American Horror Story: Hotel,” she has rarely appeared on such raw, and unflinching terms.
