Key Words: $999 iPhone X is ‘a value price,’ Apple’s Tim Cook says, and revenue is not the point

Is the $999 iPhone X too expensive for the average American?

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook sure doesn’t think so. And besides, Apple’s goal isn’t to make huge amounts of money anyway, he said Tuesday in an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” that’s sure to raise eyebrows.

“Our objective is not big revenues, our objective is to make the best product that enriches people’s lives. We want to help people.”

Tim Cook, Apple CEO

When asked about the upcoming iPhone X’s hefty price — $999 for the 64 GB version, $1,149 for the 256 GB version — Cook said it’s really a bargain.
