But even as the so-called Big Six’s tax-reform framework leaves so much to determined, the faint outlines are taking shape. So here’s a stab at trying to assess just where things are.

Individual taxes

• Both the original Trump tax principles, as well as the new outline put out by both Congressional Republicans and the White House, would narrow the number of tax brackets to three from seven.
