Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan is dead at 46

Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer for the Cranberries, died Monday in London at the age of 46, her publicist confirmed to several news organizations. O’Riordan, a native of Limerick, Ireland, was in London for a recording session, a statement from the publicist said.

The BBC reported in London that police were called to a hotel in park Lane at around 9 a.m. London time “where a woman in her mid-40s” was pronounced dead at the scene.

Current band members Noel Hogan, Fergal Lawler and Mike Hogan tweeted a tribute to O’Riordan.
