Windows shattered on Apple, Google shuttle buses in freeway attacks

Five charter buses shuttling workers for Apple Inc. and Google were the apparent targets of vandalism Tuesday, resulting in shattered windows but no injuries.

Four of the buses were carrying Apple AAPL, +0.50% employees and the fifth carried employees of Alphabet Inc.’s GOOGL, -0.39%GOOG, -0.32% Google, officials said. The two tech giants are among a number of companies that provide free shuttles from San Francisco to their offices in Silicon Valley.

The windows were damaged while the buses were driving on Interstate 280 near the town of Woodside, between San Francisco and Apple’s Cupertino, Calif.
