Kathy Griffin’s comeback show at New York’s Carnegie Hall sells out in 24 hours

Kathy Griffin is back.

The comedian sold out the lion’s share of the five-tier, 2,894-seat Stern Auditorium in New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall in just 24 hours. The tickets went on sale Friday morning for the June 26 show. On Saturday, just a few single seats in the upper tiers, seats with obstructed views of the stage and those traditionally reserved for people with disabilities and their companions were left.

The U.S. tour comes after she badly misjudged a stunt on May 30, 2017 in which she posed with a fake bloody mask resembling the head of President Trump. As the backlash was gathering momentum, Griffin posted an apology on Twitter TWTR, -0.61% and Facebook FB, +0.67% that read, “I am sorry.
