Pudding Pop pitchman and predator: Bill Cosby stripped of advertising, television and movie accolades

Bill Cosby — comedic provocateur, cultural paragon, Jell-O hawker, “America’s Dad” and convicted sex offender — was effectively cast out Thursday by the media industries he helped redefine in the second half of the last century.

The American Advertising Federation rescinded Cosby’s induction into its hall of fame after he was found guilty in a retrial last week of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, a former director of operations for the women’s basketball team at Temple University, in his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. He reportedly plans an appeal of the ruling, which the Hollywood Reporter has said could focus on whether his constitutional rights were violated and whether he got a fair trial.
