Market Snapshot: Stock market set for solidly lower open session as trade worries persist

U.S. stock futures lost ground Monday, putting the Dow industrials on track for a fifth losing session in a row as trade-war fears dogged global markets.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMU8, -0.84% gave up 212 points, or 0.8%, to 24,899, while S&P 500 futures ESU8, -0.63% shed 19.15 points, or 0.7%, to 2,765.25. Nasdaq-100 futures NQU8, -0.72% fell by 58.25 points, or 0.8%, to 7,223.25.

On Friday, the Dow DJIA, -0.34% closed lower for a fourth straight day and notched a weekly drop of 0.9%.
