Economic Preview: Just because the economy is booming doesn’t mean that all is well

Americans companies are scrambling to find skilled workers in an era of extremely low unemployment. A growing worker shortage won’t ease up any time soon, though. Here a new boat is tested at a Chris-Craft manufacturing facility in Sarasota, Florida.

On the surface the economy looks golden, but some tarnish might be starting to form underneath.

The latest government snapshot of the labor market is likely to show another brisk gain in hiring in June, keeping the U.S. unemployment rate below 4%. And economy could be poised to turn in the fastest quarterly growth rate in 15 years.

Times are pretty good.
