The Wall Street Journal: Trump may revoke security clearances for 6 former officials who have criticized him

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is considering revoking the security clearances of six former senior national security officials who have criticized him, the White House said Monday.

Spokeswoman Sarah Sanders cited “baseless accusations” by those individuals and others regarding alleged contacts members of Trump’s presidential campaign may have had with foreign governments.

Sanders told reporters the administration is looking at clearances of former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, former director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former director of the National Security Agency Michael Hayden, former national security adviser and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
