Bond Report: Treasury yields steady after stocks rebound

Treasury yields held their ground on Thursday as major stock benchmarks rebounded from a sharp decline on Wednesday, which had briefly erased the S&P 500 and Dow’s gains for 2018.

What are yields doing?

The yield on the 10-year Treasury note TMUBMUSD10Y, +0.91% edged up 1.3 basis points to 3.136% from 3.122% late Wednesday in New York, which marked the lowest level for the debt since Oct. 2, while the 2-year Treasury note yield TMUBMUSD02Y, +0.42% rose 0.8 basis point to 2.863%. The 30-year Treasury bond yield TMUBMUSD30Y, +0.42% was up 0.6 basis point to 3.348%.
