MarketWatch First Take: Zuckerberg appears to be done apologizing for Facebook and taking Tim Cook’s punches

Facebook Inc. Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg appears to be done apologizing for the massive list of issues and mishaps at the world’s largest social network, and taking punches from other tech executives without a response.

“Overall, this has been an important year,” Zuckerberg told analysts Tuesday on the company’s call to discuss its third-quarter results, which beat on earnings but slightly missed on revenue. “It’s been a tough year, but we built products that I’m proud of and we made a lot of progress on some of our hardest issues.”

Those issues were plenty, from the Cambridge Analytica scandal, two days of Congressional hearings and just last month, a data breach affecting up to 90 million users.
