Cannabis Watch: Marijuana producer Curaleaf revenue nearly triples in first earnings after public listing

In its first earnings following its listing in Canada earlier this year, U.S.-based cannabis producer Curaleaf Holdings Inc. nearly tripled its revenue but swung to a substantial loss when it posted earnings Monday.

Curaleaf LDVTF, -10.02% stock was down 6% in Tuesday trading, according to Canadian Securities Exchange data.

Cureleaf grows and sells pot and has operations in 10 states. It is one of a number of U.S.-based pot companies operating in several states — and violating U.S. federal law — that have elected to list on the Canadian Securities Exchange, or CSE, because major exchanges in both countries will not list firms that break federal laws.
