Already U.S. lawmakers are bristling at the idea of taking steps to mitigate climate change for fear of disrupting the economy, after the publication of a U.S. government report outlining the dangers to the environment.

Sen. Mike Lee, a Utah Republican, flatly said he was against a carbon tax set at any price.
