Market Snapshot: Dow rises 150 points ahead of speech by Fed chief Powell

U.S. stock futures are telegraphing modest gains Wednesday, as investors continue to digest conflicting headlines and statements from U.S. officials on the chances of a new U.S.-China trade framework at a G-20 summit to start Friday, and as they look forward to a midday speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

How are the benchmarks trading?

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMZ8, +0.69% rose 111 points, or 0.5%, to 24,853, while S&P 500 futures ESZ8, +0.48% advanced 9.5 points, or 0.4% to 2,693.75. Nasdaq-100 futures NQZ8, +0.63% were up 32 points, or 0.5% to 6,744.75.
