The Wall Street Journal: Michael Cohen postpones Senate hearing until end of the month

WASHINGTON — Michael Cohen, a former lawyer for President Donald Trump, on Monday postponed planned testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee until later this month, marking the second time he has delayed a scheduled congressional hearing in recent weeks.

Lanny Davis, an attorney for Cohen, said the Senate panel had accepted Cohen’s request to postpone, in which he cited “post surgery medical needs.” Cohen underwent shoulder surgery last month. Davis said the committee would announce the rescheduled date. Cohen’s testimony was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

Cohen last month had postponed a planned public hearing before the House Oversight Committee, citing concerns about threats by Trump and his attorneys toward members of Cohen’s family.
