Market Snapshot: Stocks close higher in wake of Fed minutes; Nasdaq matches winning streak from August

U.S. stock-index futures were pointing to a flat open Wednesday, as investors kept an eye on U.S.-China trade talks in Washington and awaited minutes of the Federal Reserve’s January policy meeting.

Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMH9, -0.08% fell 14 points, or 0.1%, to 25,849, while S&P 500 futures ESH9, -0.05% lost less than a point to trade at 2,775.25. Nasdaq-100 futures NQH9, +0.01% were up 2.75 points, or less than 0.1%, at 7,071.

Stocks ended slightly higher on Tuesday as U.S. traders returned from the Presidents Day holiday.
