Capitol Report: Drugmakers’ CEOs set to get grilled at Senate hearing on rising drug prices

Major drugmakers look set to play defense Tuesday on Capitol Hill, as a Senate panel plans to press the companies’ executives on rising drug prices.

Six CEOs and one executive vice president are scheduled to testify before the Senate Finance Committee at 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time Tuesday. AbbVie Inc. ABBV, +0.34% , AstraZeneca PLC AZN, +1.37%AZN, +2.13% , Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. BMY, -0.65% , Merck & Co. Inc. MRK, -0.48% , Pfizer Inc. PFE, +0.28% and Sanofi SA SNY, -0.85%SAN, +0.23% are slated to send their chief executives to Capitol Hill, while Johnson & Johnson JNJ, +0.37% is dispatching an executive vice president.
