Capitol Report: Former Sessions spokeswoman says she’ll be analyst, not editor, for CNN after backlash

A former spokeswoman for Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Friday she’ll be an analyst for CNN after the network faced a backlash for hiring her as an editor.

In a tweet, Sarah Isgur said “I will go to CNN as a Political Analyst instead” and that she’d start next month.

It’s been a great vacation but I am back on twitter! And news: I will go to CNN as a Political Analyst instead. Will start next month on air and on line. See y’all soon!

AT&T T, +0.13% -owned CNN was criticized by Democrats, media watchdogs, and, reportedly, insiders at the news network for hiring Isgur as a political editor.
