A jaguar clawed a woman who got too close to its cage trying to take a selfie

People are risking their lives — and limbs — for the perfect selfie.

A jaguar clawed a woman in the arm at an Arizona zoo on Saturday after she hopped over a barrier to take a selfie with the animal. The Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park outside of Phoenix told local news outlets that the woman in her 30s was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, and the jaguar will not be euthanized because it “was not the animal’s fault” and they would never “harm an animal based on human behavior.”
