Bond Report: U.S. 30-year Treasury bond yield rises after traders fail to drag it below 3%

Treasury yields rose Thursday as investors grappled with developments on U.S.-China trade tensions and another Brexit vote.

The 10-year Treasury note yield TMUBMUSD10Y, -0.07% rose 2.2 basis points to 2.632%. The 2-year note yield TMUBMUSD02Y, +0.00% was up 1.6 basis points to 2.469%, while the 30-year bond yield TMUBMUSD30Y, -0.09% picked up 1.4 basis points to 3.024%. Bond prices move inversely to yields.

The 10-year U.K. government bond yield TMBMKGB-10Y, +2.07% added 2.7 basis points to 1.231%.
