Key Words: Barbra Streisand is ‘profoundly sorry’ for Michael Jackson comments

Barbra Streisand is changing her tune about Michael Jackson’s accusers.

The iconic singer had defended the late King of Pop from sexual abuse allegations in a controversial Times of London interview published on Friday, telling the newspaper that, “you can say ‘molested,’ but those children, as you heard say, they were thrilled to be there.”

But her remarks drew such fierce backlash over the weekend that she took to her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Saturday to apologize and clarify her remarks.

‘I am profoundly sorry for any pain or misunderstanding I caused by not choosing my words more carefully about Michael Jackson and his victims, because the words as printed do not reflect my true feelings.
