Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke said Monday if he becomes president he’ll require his cabinet chiefs to hold monthly public town halls, “not just to answer questions but to be held accountable.”

O’Rourke made the announcement at the “We the People” summit in Washington, a gathering of progressive activists attended by members of such groups as the SEIU and the Sierra Club. O’Rourke was one of several Democratic presidential contenders speaking at the summit.
