Key Words: Warren Buffett: Look past Wall Street for Wells Fargo’s next CEO

The next Wells Fargo CEO ‘just [has] to come from someplace [outside the bank] and they shouldn’t come from Wall Street. They probably shouldn’t come from JPMorgan or Goldman Sachs.’

That’s Warren Buffett with some more personnel advice for his largest stock holding, as the bank continues efforts to restore its reputation amid the stain of client account abuse.

“There are plenty of good people to run it [from the Wall Street banks], but they are automatically going to draw the ire of a significant percentage of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and that’s just not smart,” Buffett told the Financial Times in an interview that ran Sunday.
