U.S. Attorney General William Barr arrives to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee May 1, 2019 in Washington, DC.

Attorney General William Barr hit back at Robert Mueller in testimony to a Senate panel on Wednesday, telling lawmakers the special counsel had declined his offer to review a memo to Congress that Mueller has said didn’t paint a full picture of his work.

Barr testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee in his first congressional appearance after releasing the redacted version of Mueller’s report last month. The attorney general’s testimony came a day after reports said Mueller objected to Barr’s summary of his findings.
