Social Capital: This simple trick could make it a lot harder for corporations to skip out on their tax bill

The news that 60 of the world’s largest corporations had paid zero in federal income taxes last year (some even got rebates) sent America’s challenged outrage meter up another notch.

Still, the conventional wisdom goes, now that global corporations are a fact of life, it’s all but impossible to prevent them from bobbing and weaving through the world’s most tax-friendly jurisdictions to keep the amount of tax they owe to a bare minimum.
