The MarketWatch Q&A: ESPN’s Rennae Stubbs on what it’s like to cover Wimbledon — and why she invested in Beyond Meat

Rennae Stubbs played tennis on the pro tour from 1992 to 2011 and won 70 tournaments as a doubles player, including six Grand Slams. Early in her career, when she was asked what she wanted to do when she finished playing, she told the interviewer maybe she could do what he did.

She got a chance to do some TV work when she was on tour, and while injured in 1997 she worked as a commentator for the Australian Open. So when she retired from playing 14 years later, she knew what she wanted to do and didn’t even need any training to switch careers.
