Capitol Report: Biden, Harris, Sanders and Warren reveal second-quarter fundraising figures that trail Buttigieg’s

The campaigns of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders revealed last week that the three top-tier contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination trailed Pete Buttigieg in second-quarter fundraising.

The Harris campaign on Friday said she raised nearly $12 million in the period, Biden on Wednesday reported getting $21.5 million, and Sanders on Tuesday disclosed a haul of $18 million. Buttigieg has brought in $24.8 million in the quarter.

In the coming days, other Democratic contenders also are likely to disclose their fundraising totals ahead of a July 15 deadline when the figures must be reported.

Biden’s team emphasized in a Wednesday email to supporters that the former vice president’s campaign “raised more per day than any other presidential campaign.
