You call yourself an “accidental director” of a nonprofit. How did you get into this line of work?

Because I wanted to contribute and make a positive difference. Ten or 12 years ago I began convening people in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where I was living, to see what others wanted to see change and how I could help make that happen.
