President Donald Trump took a fresh swing at the Federal Reserve over interest rates on Friday, as he defended supporters who chanted that a Minnesota Democrat should be sent back to her native country.

Trump highlighted a communications snafu involving New York Fed President John Williams, tweeting that he liked the official’s initial Thursday speech and not a later walk-back issued by a spokesman.

Williams seemed at first to support aggressive monetary-policy easing, only to have a spokesman downplay his comments.
